Unique symbiosis

Far away from the urban business world, amidst meadows and forest, a new and spacious conference centre was created for an international banking group. From the splendid elevated location on the edge of the forest, a unique view of nearby Lake Constance opens up. The complex, hotel (2008) and conference center (2020), is built around an original structure dating back to 1570, featuring a restored castle with coach house and manor house. This historical ensemble has been complemented by a modern building complex consisting of a hotel and conference centre. The older elements are elegantly and naturally interwoven into the new building through a variety of outdoor spaces to form the entire ensemble. Aligned in between the traditional structures and the hotel wing, the conference centre itself has a capacity to host smaller group events while simultaneously accommodating larger gatherings of several hundred attendees. This is made possible by various seminar rooms and meeting spaces, an auditorium and panoramic hall.
The architecture is designed to permit a constant open view from the buildings towards its surroundings. These exterior and interior spaces fit naturally into the historical and topographical context. A grandiose facility for inspiration, retreat and communication has been created.
